ABOUT US

In Water Under Land is a non-profit organization representing a group of divers that have been documenting waterfilled mines and shipwrecs.

We have a broad competence in under water video, still photography, 3D modelling and marine biology.

With over 40 000 ore mines in Sweden dating all the way from 11th century to 20th century, with perfect conditions for preserving details and creating a time capsule of the past.

Linus Malmgren

Linus Malmgren

Linus started diving as a small child by calling the back mounted swimming aid for oxygen tanks. He wasn’t certified until 2006 but has been hooked ever since.

He has an eye for mine scribblings, a curiosity to look behind the next turn and a sense of humor to keep the group happy.

Filippa Ek

Filippa Ek

Filippa has been interested in water for as long as she can remember. She has always felt as a fish in the water, and has been a diver since 2011.

She is educated marine biologist and works as a consultant in this field. Guess who on the team looks at and identifies all the water flora and fauna during the dive?

Martin Fregelius

Martin Fregelius

Martin began diving back in 2010 with en genuine interest in continuing to develop diving skills with the goal of exploring new places.
He has a large interest in exploring dry and water-filled mines and caves either by ropes or diving equipment. Martin is a key holder in several of the classical mine diving sites in Sweden.

Anders Etander

Anders Etander

Anders began diving back in 1989, but life got in the way. After some dry years he picked up diving again 2011 and some say he has not been completely dry since then.

He is an active instructor teaching mainly technical diving in the Swedish mines. He is a keyholer to all five Swedish mines and a member of Team Reel Diving.
